Hydrotherapy - Fun and Fitness
"Woody in training for his next flyball competition"
Aquavet Hydrotherapy is home to some of the countries best and fastest canine sporting talents, providing an essential cardio-vascular workout during the off season months. We have clients who compete up and down the country in sports such as fly ball and Agility.
Just a half hour swim is the equivilent to a non stop two and a half hour walk, and in the muddy months you can understand why this style of fitness training is becoming more and more popular.
"Morse - our youngest ever swimmer"
The first year of a dog's life is without doubt the most important year of it's life. Ensuring the correct training, the right eating habits, the right toilet habits and of course - an increased socialising routine.
What tens to goes unnoticed are those growing limbs and underdeveloped joints. Hydrotherapy is the perfect alternative to repetitive exercise.
Due to the pool being non-weight bearing, there is no pressure or force being put through the joints and the swimming will result in an increased muscle growth which will support and maintain the growth of your puppy.

Our clients say it best
my rottie ruby did her cruciate and I can't thank the staff at aquavets enough for their wonderful care in getting her back to herself, their kindness and helpfulness was fantastic at such a distressing and worrying time with clear and helpful explanations and advice always given, well done to everyone.
Ruby has had so much fun swimming that even though she is now better we continue to go for a weekly swim not only to maintain the benefits but because she thoroughly enjoys herself. I would highly recommend any dog owner to use such an excellent facility and team to care for their dog.–jayne jeune
I have been taking my dog, Molly, to Aquavet for over 3 years now... Her prognosis wasn't good but regular treadmill sessions have given her a quality of life we couldn't have hoped for. She can still climb stairs and walk for an hour in the park...thank you for all your help and support. –Liz France White
