THE ONLY UNDERWATER TREADMILL IN SHEFFIELD!
Many dogs can commence treatment much sooner, and recover more rapidly using the treadmill. The treadmill is particularly suited to rehabilitation following fractures and cruciate ligament repair. With swimming, there is a risk of violent uncontrolled movement therefore POOL SWIMMING FOR THE FIRST 6 WEEKS POST-OP CARRIES A SIGNIFICANT RISK OF YOUR DOG REINJURING ITSELF.
The underwater treadmill with high level water is much more controlled, and treatment can commence as early as 2 weeks post op depending on the individual case.

15FT X 8FT POOL WITH VIEWING WINDOWS
The only one of it's kind in the region. Temperature controlled with anti swim resistance jets, pool hygiene is maintained to the highest standards. OWNERS AND THERAPISTS CAN OBSERVE THE DOGS MOVEMENT THROUGH THE UNIQUE UNDERWATER VIEWING WINDOWS. Great for those dogs that just love to swim!

PHYSIOTHERAPY
Physiotherapy for animals is a rapidly growing treatment modality. It can be a great way to help your dog return to full fitness and activity levels following an injury or operation, aswell as looking at core stability and balance problems.
All physiotherapy will be carried out by Helen Millward ACPAT - Category A, MSc, SRP, BSc (Hons), MCSP of Millwards Veterinary physiotherapy.

ACUPUNCTURE
Acupuncture is the practice of inserting fine, solid needles into the body for pain relief or in some cases to help the body deal witrh other diseases. Acupuncture works through the nervous system. The needles block the pain messages and encourage the brain and central nervous system to produce more of the body's natural painkillers.
All acupuncture will be carried out by Ian Lowe MRCVS, our veterinary surgeon.
