Swimming is an excellent form of exercise. Practically all of the muscles normally involved in movement are utilised, without the associated stresses generated when impacting on hard ground. A suitable course of hydrotherapy treatment encourages joint movement and improves cardiovascular stamina without imposing undue stress on damaged tissues.

Hydrotherapy is the perfect activity for all dogs, whether it is for fun and fitness or rehabilitation. Even arthritic dogs can benefit from controlled swimming, which promotes increased mobility in sore, stiff joints.

Our state of the art purpose built canine hydrotherapy facility include:

◊ A custom-made 14ft x 8ft pool heated to 30 degrees celsius and equipped with 'anti-swim' jets.
◊ Jacuzzi facilities
◊ A high-powered 38 degree celsius hydrobath with massaging shower action.
◊ A silent electric hoist for pool entry and exit.
◊ Water hygiene stringently checked and maintained.
◊ Waiting and consultation area.
